Marriage

Marriage is a sacrament where two Baptised Christians are the ministers of the sacrament. For marriage in the Catholic Church one or both must be a Baptised Catholic, preferably also Confirmed. If you or your fiancé live in this parish, you will need to do the marriage paperwork here. This needs to have been started at least six months before the proposed wedding date. This applies whether you intend to be married here or somewhere else. You will need to have an up to date copy of your Baptism certificate (issued within the last 6 months), Confirmation certificate (if you have been Confirmed), and various other documents which will be explained to you. It will also be necessary to attend a marriage preparation course. Please speak to the Parish Priest or contact the Parish Office with any enquiries: kewgardens@rcaos.org.uk / 020 8940 3101.
